Sports247 gathered that the major point most of the fans who posted comments under the story about Moses’ move to Kazakhstan is that he should have looked towards Saudi Arabia or United States of America instead.
The critical comments noted further that Moses should have followed a recent fad that has seen many players making big money moves to Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries in the twilight of their careers.
Further suggestions found in a cross-section of the posts pointed at China as another better option that Moses should have considered, but some other comments considered various factors that could have motivated Moses’ choice.
Top of the points raised in his favour are that he is already 35 years old and has played in virtually all the big footballing countries across Europe, hence his decision to try out something fresh in search of a new adventure.
His choice of a novel terrain comes against the backdrop of the fact hat he had in the past played for top clubs like Stoke City, Chelsea and Liverpool of England, as well as Inter Milan of Italy, Fenerbahçe of Turkey and Spartak Moscow of Russia.
Moses has also won the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League and Africa Cup of Nations, then retired early from Nigeria’s national team after tasting World Cup action, thereby removing any further thirst for honours in his career.
A report by Tribal Football also noted in part, “Moses has been without a contract this autumn after leaving Luton Town when his contract expired in the summer.
“The 35-year-old Nigeria international has now signed for Kaisar Kyzylorda, who play in the Kazakh Premier League.
“The move means that Moses continues his long and eventful career, which has spanned several of Europe’s biggest leagues.
“In addition to his club career, Moses has also made an impact at the national team level. He is capped 38 times for the Nigeria national team.”
