The match, played at a high tempo, saw both teams approach proceedings with caution, fully aware of the importance of avoiding defeat in the group stage. Rivers United, on the road, showed tactical discipline and defensive solidity, standing firm against periods of pressure from the Zambian champions.

Power Dynamos enjoyed spells of possession and tried to force openings, but the Rivers United backline remained well-organised, limiting clear-cut chances.

At the other end, the Nigerian champions looked dangerous on the break and from set-piece situations, but were unable to find the decisive touch in the final third.

Goalkeepers on both sides were rarely overworked, as the encounter became a battle of midfield control, structure, and game management rather than free-flowing attacking football.

The draw reflects the evenly matched nature of the contest, with neither side able to assert outright dominance.

The result earns Rivers United a valuable away point, keeping them competitive in the group as the race for qualification remains wide open.

Power Dynamos, meanwhile, will take positives from their defensive performance but may rue missed opportunities to secure maximum points at home.

Both teams will now turn their attention to upcoming fixtures, knowing that consistency and fine margins could ultimately decide their fate in the CAF Champions League group stage.
