Iwundu scored both goals for the Flying Antelopes, finding the net in the dying moments of each half to cap an outstanding individual performance.
His brace not only sealed all three points for Rangers but also took his tally to seven goals for the season — an exceptional return for a defender and a testament to his aerial strength, timing, and composure in decisive moments.
Rangers took the lead just before halftime through Iwundu, who rose highest to convert late in the first half and hand the visitors a crucial advantage going into the break.
Kun Khalifat FC responded with renewed urgency in the second half and were rewarded in the 87th minute when they found the equaliser, briefly threatening to snatch a point from the encounter.
However, Rangers showed resilience and character. Deep into stoppage time, Iwundu struck again, delivering a dramatic winner to silence the home crowd and seal an impressive away triumph for the Enugu-based side.
The victory sees Rangers International climb to fifth place on the league table, strengthening their push for a strong finish to the season. Beyond the result, the performance further underlined the team’s growing stability and tactical discipline in recent weeks.
Assistant coach Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu, who has been in charge in the absence of the head coach, continues to justify the trust placed in him.
Under his stewardship, Rangers have recorded two wins, two draws, and one defeat in five matches — a run that has yielded 33 points overall and propelled the club into the top five
