Second-half goals from Igbunu Evwierhurhoma and Orji Chisom sealed the win for the Seasiders, as they recorded back-to-back victories to begin the second stanza of the campaign on a positive note.
After a cagey opening half in which both sides cancelled each other out, Warri Wolves emerged with renewed purpose following the restart.
The breakthrough arrived in the 49th minute when Igbunu Evwierhurhoma found the back of the net, capitalising on sustained pressure from the hosts.
His goal lifted the tempo of the game and unsettled Katsina United, who struggled to regain composure.
Just four minutes later, Warri Wolves doubled their advantage through Orji Chisom, whose well-taken finish in the 53rd minute effectively put the contest beyond the visitors.
From that point on, Warri Wolves controlled proceedings with confidence and discipline, managing possession effectively and limiting Katsina United to few meaningful chances.
Their defensive organisation ensured a clean sheet, while their attacking intent kept the visitors pinned back for long spells.
The result further underlines Warri Wolves’ resurgence in recent weeks. On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the team had already shown their intent with an impressive away victory against Wikki Tourists in their NPFL Matchday 20 fixture at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, where they claimed all three points to kick-start the second half of the season.
With this latest win, Warri Wolves have now amassed 30 points from 21 league matches, a significant boost to their campaign as they look to climb further up the NPFL standings. The successive victories will provide confidence and belief within the squad as the season enters a crucial phase.
