The Lagos-based club confirmed the acquisition this week, with Ayodeji arriving at a crucial stage of the season to bolster the team’s options ahead of a demanding second-half campaign.
His addition is expected to provide greater creativity and control in midfield as Ikorodu City intensify their challenge for silverware.
Ayodeji brings valuable experience and pedigree despite his young age.
He previously made a strong impression during a productive spell with Kwara United, where he captained the club’s U-19 side to victory in the maiden N-Youth League Cup in May 2025.
In that title-winning campaign, he recorded an impressive nine goals and eight assists, underlining his influence and attacking threat from midfield.
Renowned for his composure, vision and ability to dictate the tempo of play, Ayodeji is viewed as a key addition to an ambitious Ikorodu City squad seeking consistency and cutting edge in the title run-in.
Club officials believe his versatility and game intelligence will add depth and balance to the team as the NPFL season reaches its decisive phase.
