Ekiti Queens continued their impressive run in the NWFL Premiership with a 2–0 away victory over Pacesetter Queens in their Matchday 6 encounter played in Ibadan.

The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute through Zainab Ismail, who reacted quickly to a loose ball inside the penalty area before calmly slotting home to give Ekiti Queens the advantage.
Pacesetter Queens had a golden opportunity to get back into the game in the 65th minute, but they failed to convert from the penalty spot, a miss that proved costly as Ekiti Queens maintained their composure and defensive discipline.
The decisive moment arrived in the 82nd minute when Winifred Eyebhoria found space inside the box and finished confidently to double Ekiti Queens’ lead, effectively sealing all three points for the visitors.
The result further deepens Pacesetter Queens’ struggles this season. After six matches, they are yet to record a win, managing one draw and five defeats, a run that leaves them rooted to the bottom of Group A in the Nigeria Women Football League (Premiership)
