Meyiwa Bids Farewell to Niger Tornadoes After Mutual Agreement

Niger Tornadoes and attacking midfielder Meyiwa Oritseweyinmi have mutually agreed to part ways, bringing an end to the player’s six-month spell at the club.

The former Bendel Insurance midfielder expressed his gratitude to Niger Tornadoes for the warm reception he received during his time at the club, describing the Minna-based side as “special.”

Meyiwa thanked the fans, his teammates and club officials for their support, noting that the experience left a lasting impression on him both on and off the pitch.

Reflecting on his time with the club, Meyiwa highlighted several proud moments, including reaching the milestone of his 50th appearance in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) while wearing the Niger Tornadoes jersey.

“After six memorable months filled with learning, growth and proud moments, it is time to focus on the next stage of my career,” the midfielder said, adding that he departs with gratitude, lifelong friendships and cherished memories.

Niger Tornadoes, in turn, extended their appreciation to the player for his professionalism and commitment during his stay at the club, wishing him success in his future endeavours.

The mutual separation marks the end of a brief but impactful chapter for both parties, as Meyiwa now turns his attention to new opportunities in the next phase of his football journey.
