Reacting to reports surrounding a brief on-field exchange involving teammates during Nigeria’s round of 16 victory over Mozambique, Olajire confirmed that the matter was resolved internally and poses no threat to team harmony.
“There is no issue in the camp,” Olajire said. “What people saw was pure football emotion. The players spoke among themselves, everything was settled immediately, and the focus has shifted completely to the next match.”
He appealed to the media, stakeholders, sponsors and content creators to avoid amplifying the issue, stressing that the team’s priority is now preparation for the next stage of the tournament.
“This is a crucial moment for the team. We urge everyone to support the Super Eagles positively and help maintain the right atmosphere around the squad,” he added.
Nigeria will face Algeria national football team in the quarterfinals on Saturday in Marrakesh, as the Super Eagles continue their quest for a fourth AFCON title.
