Nigerian-born heavyweight boxer, Moses Itauma has been tipped to become the youngest ever world champion to fight under the flag of Great Britain.
Sports247 reports that the record is currently held by Prince Naseem Hamed, who won the WBO featherweight title when he was 21 years and seven months old.

Itauma, who fights Jermaine Franklin of USA on January 24 in Manchester, initially wanted to break the mark of Mike Tyson as the world’s youngest heavyweight champ at the age of 20.
However, astute boxing promoter, Frank Warren has now tipped Itauma to erase the British record, as he believes Hamed’s gong will pass over to his ward, who clocked 21 on December 28, 2025.
He buttressed his verdict with a reminder of how Itauma defeated 37-year-old Dillian Whyte after just one round in August for his 11th knock-out from 13 victories and tipped him to soon set the new mark.
Warren told Sun Sport: “Naz at the moment is the youngest Brit to ever win a world title and I think (Moses) can do it. He might bust that record.
“So, we’ll see gor Moses. He’s ambitious, he knows what he wants and he’s a very smart guy. We’ve just got to make sure we make the right moves at the right time for him.”
