Atalanta of Italy winger, Ademola Lookman has disclosed that he and his colleagues in Nigeria’s national team aim to keep their mission alive at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations by defeating Mozambique.
Sports247 reports that the Super Eagles will battle The Mambas on Monday in Fes, Morocco, starting at 8pm Nigeria time, and Lookman says the only target on their mind is to beat the men from Maputo.

He admitted delight with his selection in the competition’s team of the first round, following his haul of two goals and same number of assists, then stressed that the mission in Morocco is not a personal desire but a collective aspiration.
The 2024 Africa Footballer of The Year, who previously played for Charlton Athletic, Everton, Fulham and Leicester City of England, enthused that the Eagles’ collective zeal will lead them to victory.
“We had a great run in the group stage, and I am thankful to all that voted. The selection is not just for me, but my entire teammates. Their efforts on the pitch contributed to my selection.
“However, this is not the vision for our team. We have set targets to accomplish here in Morocco, and we are nowhere near our targets yet,” said the former England youth international, who has also played for RB Leipzig of Germany.
