Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has commended Morocco for the quality of organization and facilities at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, describing the hosting so far as impressive.

Speaking from Nigeria’s camp in Fès, Iwobi praised the condition of the pitches and accommodation, noting that the environment has allowed players to focus fully on football without distractions.
He said the smooth logistics and facilities reflect Morocco’s experience in hosting major international events.
The Fulham midfielder added that good hosting plays a significant role in player performance, stressing that when facilities are right, teams can concentrate on preparation and execution on the pitch.
Looking ahead, Iwobi also expressed confidence in Uganda’s ability to host the 2027 AFCON, saying the East African nation has what it takes to deliver a successful tournament.
He noted that Africa continues to grow in its ability to stage top-level competitions and believes future editions will keep raising standards.
Iwobi’s comments come as Nigeria prepares for the Round of 16 clash against Mozambique, with the Super Eagles focused on maintaining momentum while appreciating the platform provided by the host nation.
