Speaking after the Super Eagles completed a flawless group-stage campaign, the Omonia Nicosia shot-stopper said playing minutes at AFCON is always special, describing it as an opportunity every player must cherish.

Uzoho noted that while Nigeria has shown quality and attacking strength, the team is aware that conceding goals can be costly in knockout football.

He stressed that defensive solidity will be a major focus as the Super Eagles prepare for their Round of 16 clash against Mozambique in Fès.

The goalkeeper emphasized that AFCON matches are never straightforward, warning that reputations count for little once games begin.

According to him, every team at the tournament has the quality to cause problems if given room.

Uzoho added that the Super Eagles are approaching the competition with maturity, taking each game step by step rather than looking too far ahead.

He explained that the technical crew continues to work on correcting lapses while maintaining the team’s confidence and balance.

With Nigeria aiming to push deeper into the tournament, Uzoho insisted the squad remains united and fully focused on achieving its target in Morocco.
