Hibernian FC of Scotland left-footed winger-cum-full-back, Jordan John Obita is talking tough ahead of his outing with Uganda against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, as he says his team will work hard to win.
Sports247 reports that the 32-year-old former England youth international enthused that The Cranes have been buoyed by their 1-1 draw with Tanzania, as they could have won the game had their late penalty kick not been lost.

Obita disclosed, “The team spirit is very high. Obviously, in our last game, we had a big opportunity to win, but it wasn’t to be.
“For the next game, we are working hard, and we’ve trained well to prepare for it. We know that we need to end this game with a win.”
The fair-skinned southpaw, whose birthday was on December 8th, continued with a bold declaration that the Ugandans will not step unto the pitch of Complexe Sportif de Fès with an iota of fear on their mind.
“We cannot go into this game with any fear. We have to go in with full belief, and that’s what we’re going to do.
“We’ll go into the game with self-belief and confidence, because we have no choice but to win. We have to believe in ourselves because, without it, we can’t win this game,” he acceded.
Obita, who previously played for Portsmouth, Oldham Athletic, Oxford United and Wycombe Wanderers among many other clubs in England, concluded: “I do believe in the squad that we have and we know if we win this game we have a good chance of going through to the next round.”
