Onyemachi stated, “All congrats to God for this victory. I also thank God for the great opportunity to represent Nigeria at this level. I am happy, and congrats to the team.
“We know that Tunisia is also a great team, and we know how difficult it is to handle them. When you play against Tunisia, you need to be at your top level.”
The fair-skinned full back, who was born in Owerrri and got his leap into the European football scene through highly respected players’ agent, Atta Aneke, noted further that Tunisia’s ability to romp back with the two goals confirmed that the Super Eagles faced a very tough opponent on the night in Fes, Morocco.
“The most important thing is that you have to give your best against a top team like Tunisia. That’s what happened in the second half, when they got those two goals.
“Football is sometimes like that. Once you score a goal, you try to get on top. So, thank God that we got the opportunity to get the victory. That’s the most important thing,” Onyemachi submitted.
