Trabzonspor of Turkey striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu has declared that Nigeria’s squad at the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations is good enough to get to the competition’s next level.
Sports247 reports that Onuachu stated as much while expressing his thoughts ahead of the Super Eagles’ clash with Tunisia in their second group match at AFCON 2025.

The former FC Midtjylland and Vejle of Denmark as well as ex-RKC Genk of Belgium and Southampton of England tall attacker added that Tunisia should not be a major threat to the Eagles, who are loaded with top quality players.
Onuachu, who played as a late substitute in the opening 2-1 victory over Tanzania on Tuesday, admitted that Tunisia also has a strong football pedigree, but stressed that the Eagles are determined to do well in the ongoing competition.
He posited: “Tunisia is also a football nation, but Nigeria has many good players and a good squad that can take us to the next level.
“Coming here, we all have it at the back of our mind that we want to win the AFCON. (We hooe to win it), but we have to take one game at a time as they come.”
