36 Lion FC is known as one of the largest football academies, and it made history by being the only Nigerian team to produce three players—Imoh Ezekiel, Sodiq Popoola, and Junior Ajayi—for the Dream Team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

According to the team’s Technical Director, Akinsola Akinrele Francis, this 25th edition of the football event helps to expand the talent pool of this leading grassroots team, as they remain dedicated to developing new, talented, and exciting players for Nigeria’s national teams and the global football scene.
