England-based Nigerian-born heavyweight boxer, Lawrence Okolie will gun for his 23rd victory as a professional when he tangos Ghana’s Emmanuel Tetteh this Sunday in Lagos, Sports247 reports.
Both pugilists were initially meant to do battle in the roped square on Friday, but that billing had to be shifted by two days due to a clash with Anthony Joshua’s fight in Miami, USA.

While Okolie is primed to snatch victory against Tetteh in Lagos, promoters reckoned that there would be a distraction should he fight on the same night with a fellow-Nigerian-born boxer.
Consequently, Okolie will take on Tetteh his Sunday instead of Friday night, when Joshua will stake his credibility against American social media influencer, Jake Paul in a highly controversial bout.
Two nights after Joshua’s bout in God’s Own Country, all eyes will turn to Lagos, as Okolie takes another step forward in his plans to become a three-weight world champion by dumping Tetteh.
A report by talkSport added: “The last time Okolie was in action he claimed a unanimous decision win over Kevin Lerena on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk vs Daniel Dubois.
“As the Briton looks to assert his dominance in boxing’s glamour division, he must first get past Tetteh.
“Should Okolie claim his 23rd career win, he could then find himself in contention for a title fight down the line.”
Sports247 gathered further that Okolie and Tetteh will exchange knuckles at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan area of Lagos Island under ‘Chaos in The Ring’ banner, staged by Amir Khan Promotions.
