As the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations gets closer with each passing day, officials of De Legacy Sports Supporters Club are extending their reach with links to various media outlets, Sports247 reports.
The strategy being employed by the club is to build a strong platform on which followership of the Super Eagles’ matches at the upcoming competition could be marshelled in a better organised manner.
A member of the club’s board of trustees, Femi Olowoyeye disclosed that their president, Prince Obiyim Happy Ehiedu is leading an effective strategy that would ensure the Eagles do not lack all manner of support at venues of their matches, back at home in Nigeria and across the world during AFCON 2025.
“It’s all about working together generally and towards AFCON. We are happy to partner with all sports media houses and other journalists,” Olowoyeye declared.
On his part, while disclosing that the club will embark of a period of fasting and spiritual warfare to back the Eagles towards a fourh AFCON victory, Ehiedu urged all Nigerians to join in prayers for the team’s success in Morocco.
Ehiedu added: “My appeal to Nigerians both at home and abroad is to pray vehemently for the success of the Super Eagles in Morocco.
“This is the time to rally round the national team, so that they will use the Nations Cup and compensate Nigerians for the World Cup playoffs disappointment.
“We at De Legacy Sports Supporters Club will be in Morocco in our large numbers to support the Super Eagles. Before then, we’ll embark on a fasting and prayer session for the team; because we believe that, with prayers, nothing is impossible.”
