It turned into an evening of double blight for Celtic of Scotland attacker, Kelechi Iheanacho, as his gallant efforts were not enough to save his team from defeat and he ended up with another injury.
Sports247 reports that ‘Seniorman Kelz’ appeared to be back at his best in the Premier Sports Cup final versus Saint Mirren, but the underdogs stole the show on a nightmare evening for The Bhoys.

With Iheanacho’s former coach during his days at Columbus Crew of USA, Wilfried Nancy in charge of his third game, things appeared on course for victory when the Nigerian star slipped Liam Scales’ delivery on target with a flashing header, but Shamal George pulled off an instinctive save.
Soon after, Iheanacho flashed Scales’ cross just beyond the far post before Miguel Freckleton’s alertness prevented Hatate from bundling home Daizen Maeda’s cross.
Celtic’s effort to get back into the game soon come unstuck, as Iheanacho’s troublesome hamstring saw him bow out and Johnny Kenny replaced him from the bench.
Iheanacho ended up with 4/10 on the ratings and a citation about his performance stated: “Was a threat in the early stages, linking up well with Maeda. Forced off before the break with another injury.”
