Anthony Joshua Insists His Fight With Jake Paul Will Not Be Fixed

Nigerian-born former world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua has come out with an emphatic declaration that his upcoming fight with American social media influencer, Jake Paul will not be fixed.

With Joshua entering the ring as a former two-time world champ and hardcore heavyweight, the verdict is that Paul, a former YouTube content provider, stands no chance against him.

Additionally, following recent reports that a movie maker has staked $5m on Paul to pull off an upset win, with a windfall of over $30m guaranteed if it happens, fresh speculation is riding high about a possible fix next week Friday.

However, ‘AJ’ has responded to those fresh worries and declared emphatically that his decision to follow new rules of softer gloves and a reduced weight do not mean he has reached an agreement to lose the bout.

Joshua told TMZ: “There is no clause. I heard he fought Mike Tyson in 140z gloves and that he was going to fight Gervonta [Davis] in 12oz gloves.

“Then he chose to fight me in 10oz gloves. So, there’s no clause. God, he does not want to go easy. I think he wants to hurt me. I think he wants to take me out.”
