Nwabali, who has been a standout performer for Nigeria since breaking into the team, is battling to recover from an injury that has raised doubts about his availability for the final squad. Agu, however, remains hopeful.

“Nwabali has been solid for the Super Eagles, and I believe he still has a chance to make the final squad. Nigerians should pray for him and wish him a quick recovery,” Agu said.

He emphasized that Nwabali’s consistency, calmness, and leadership from the back have been crucial to the national team’s growth over the past year.

“He has become an important pillar of the team. His presence gives confidence to the defenders and stability to the entire setup,” he added.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding Nwabali’s fitness, Agu expressed confidence in the other goalkeepers named in the provisional squad, noting that they are capable of performing if called upon.

“We have other good goalkeepers in the team. If they are given the chance, they will impress. Nigeria has always produced talented shot-stoppers,” he stated.

Agu urged fans not to panic, stressing that injuries are part of football and that the team must remain focused as AFCON approaches.

“These things happen. The important thing is to stay positive and hope Nwabali recovers in time. The team must stay united and prepared,” he said.

He also praised Nwabali’s professionalism and spirit, saying the goalkeeper has the right mentality to fight his way back to fitness.

“Stanley is a fighter. He will give everything to be ready. I know his dedication and mindset,” Agu concluded.

As Nigeria continue their preparations, Nwabali’s situation remains one of the biggest talking points heading into Morocco, and Agu’s message is clear: support him, pray for him, and trust the team to step up.
