Lookman To Join Atalanta Teammates In Special Charity Match On Saturday

Atalanta of Italy winger, Ademola Lookman and his teammates will line out for a special charity match this Saturday in the Serie A, as they keep to an annual tradition held by the club every year before Christmas, Sports247 gathered.

Lookman and his pals were back in training early Wednesday, following their stunning 2-1 victory over Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League and all focus was on Saturday’s ‘show for charity.’

Lookman and his colleagues turned up at their club’s Centro Bortolotti’s training pitch early in the morning to start preparations for this weekend’s clash with Cagliari at the New Balance Arena.

They also held a session behind closed doors in Zingonia on Thursday, followed by celebrations for the 22nd birthday of Giorgio Scalvini, who progressed through the youth sector and now has 112 senior games.

A statement by Atalanta on their official website revealed in part, “The final home fixture before the holidays will see Atalanta face Cagliari on Saturday, December 13, with kick-off at 20:45 CET.

“As per tradition – an initiative championed by President Antonio Percassi and now entering its 15th edition- the shirts worn by the team for the Christmas Match will once again be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to charity.”

Sports247 adds that Saturday’s fixture will be Lookman’s last match of 2025 for Atalanta, as he should be off on Sunday to join the Super Eagles’ camp, ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, with a friendly against Egypt on December 16th in their build-up.
