The Super Eagles’ fringe player got off Palace’s bench in the 66th minute of Sunday’s 2-1 win away to Fulham, which was a better story than when he sat out the entire duration of their previous game.
Conversely, Saturday’s fixture turned out to be a heartwarming outing for the forward with pineapple leaves hairstyle, thereby providing him with another reason to stay strong.
Uche has now hinted that, rather than feel frustrated with his lack of a starting role for the Eagles of London, he is holding unto a strong level of faith to see him through.
Despite arriving at the London-based club with lots of promise on loan from Getafe of Spain in the summer, the Owerri-born star has failed to impress Palace’s manager, Oliver Glasner.
Consequently, Uche has played only 392 minutes across 12 games in all competitions, but Getafe’s president, Angel Torres recently said the Liga club would gladly welcome the lanky lad back.
However, while Uche admitted that his current situation at Selhurst Park is painful, he stessed that he is not thinking of throwing in the towel.
“It hurts when you go through something that kills you inside, but you have to act like it doesn’t bother you at all.
“Keep believing and have faith in everything you do,” Uche stated in a social media post on Sunday.
Sports247 gathered further that Sunday’s home fixture ended up as a shock for Fulham, who had Calvin Bassey on for the duration, while Samuel Chukwueze was replaced in the 76th minute and Alex Iwobi bowed out in the 89th.
