The President of Lagos Legends Basketball Club, Manasseh Achii has promised that the team’s players and management will give their ‘very best effort’ in order to excel in their forthcoming continental assignment, Sports247 gathered.
While Lagos Legends are still basking in their ability to dethrone Rivers Hoopers of Port Harcourt as Nigeria’s new club basketball champions, many analysts doubt their ability to excel on the continental terrain.

However, Achii remains defiant and stressed that not only is the club’s management quite confident about the ability of their players, they will also sit down to map out strategies for the task ahead.
Achii declared, “We are not only very confident in the group of guys that we we have, but we also understand that we are now going to a different level.
“It has standards of a much higher level, but we’ll give it our best efforts. The management will sit down, and we’ll see if there’s a need for us to improve or fortify the team.”
He further promised that all areas of need in the team would be checked in order to ensure that the squad is not found wanting in any aspect, as they aim for a glorious run in the African contest.
Achii expatiated, “We’ll look into everything and do our best to make the team ready for the task ahead. We’ll do our best to achieve the results we want.
“However, it’s not just enough for me to just say it like that, we have to start work with proper preparations. So, when we get into training camp, we’ll look at what we have and we’ll see what we have to do.”
