The seven-time champions will compete in the tournament from December 21 to January 18, and Hassan has opted for a blend of experience and youthful energy.

While the list features only a handful of overseas-based players, the presence of Liverpool star Salah remains the major highlight of the squad.

Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush and FC Nantes striker Mostafa Mohamed have also been included, adding firepower to Egypt’s attacking options. UAE-based duo Ibrahim Adel and Rahim Rabia offer additional versatility.

Hassan said his final list “combines experience with youth” as Egypt aim to reclaim their dominance in African football.
