NPFL: Barau FC Edge Out Kwara United in a Five-Goal Thriller

Barau FC clinched a dramatic 3–2 victory over Kwara United in a pulsating NPFL 2025/2026 encounter that served up tension, resilience, and late drama at its finest.

The hosts wasted no time asserting themselves, breaking the deadlock in the 19th minute when Maidubuji finished off a well-worked free kick to put Barau FC 1–0 ahead.

JohnMack Aule reacted quickly inside the box in the 49th minute, tapping home to bring the match to 2–2 earning the advantage through Barau FC goalkeeper error and setting up a gripping second half with both sides refusing to back down.

With tensions rising and both teams pushing for a winner, the decisive moment finally arrived in second-half stoppage time. S. Oganbor stepped up as Barau FC’s hero, smashing home the winner in the 90+1st minute from the penalty spot to seal a thrilling 3–2 victory and send the home fans into wild celebrations.
