Chrisantus Uche Gets Desperate For Starting Role At Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace of England forward, Chrisantus Uche is getting desperate for a starter’s role with the English Premie League side, in order to get a full contract with the club in the coming month.

Sports247 reports that Uche played as a 78th minute substitute in Palace’s 2-1 loss at home versus Manchester United on Sunday, but the midfielder-cum-attacker knows he has to start getting into the London-based club’s first 11.

That has become imperative because the 22-year-old Uche, who joined Palace on loan from Getafe of Spain on the summer transfer windows’ Deadline Day, will only be offered a full contract at Selhurst Park if he starts 10 games in the EPL.

However, Uche’s chances of getting the required number of starts appear to be quite slim, as The Eagles’ coach, Oliver Glasner believes the lanky lad has not settled well into life in England.

Glasner disclosed that Uche and others who arrived in the summer are struggling to adapt to the EPL’s style and hinted that the club may have to enter the market next month to get another attacker.

While acknowledging that he and his crew members have a duty to encourage all the new players, Glasner conceded that they may eventually have to go shopping as a last resort.

“We have to support the players. This is what we will do. It’s the only thing we will do, support them, encourage them, stay positive. The second thing is to buy a player in January,” the coach conjectured.
