The vice-chairman of Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), Honourable Dotun Coker led the shower of accolades on organisers of the annual Supremacy Cup, as this year’s edition came to a close on Thursday at National Stadium Legacy Pitch, Surulere.
Sports247 reports that Coker was among the special guests who watched the pulsating final of Supremacy Cup 2025, which was won by Ikorodu City FC’ B-team via 5-4 penslties’ decision over last year’s champions, who relied on a last minute equaliser to force a 2-2 draw at registration time.

The LSFA deputy boss told Sports247 afterwards that he was excited seeing how young players of both sides exhibit raw intelligent talent throughout Thursday’s match.
Dotun Coker recounted how similar thrills had taken place in each match of this year’s competition that began on Monday at the same venue and praised the founder, LSFA chairman, Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed for ensuring the competition gets better with each passing year.
Coker eulogised, “I sincerely commend Hajji Gafar Liameed and his organising team for their unwavering commitment and visionary leadership in promoting youth football development through this annual laudable initiative called Supremacy Cup.
“It goes beyond football; it represents hope and opportunity for young people. The dedication of every person involved in the tournament deserves recognition.
“Thank you for fostering a positive environment focused on fair play and fun, which is invaluable for all participants. Congratulations!!!”
Sports247 reports that a glittering trophy was presented to the new champions, Ikorodu City FC, whose players were given a guard of honour by all guests present at the venue, among who were several expatriate players’ agents.
