Remo Stars’ Assistant Coach Sulaiman Kamil Promises ‘Better Show’ Against Niger Tornadoes

The assistant coach at Remo Stars FC of Ikenne, Sulaiman Kamil (Lama) has promised that the team will give a ‘better show’ when they take on Niger Tornadoes of Minna this weekend in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL).

Sports247 reports that, although Tornadoes will be at home and they are currently better placed on the NPFL log, as they stand sixth on the table, while Remo Stars are 11th, Kamil believes the defending champions will prove their mettle on Sunday.

‘Coach Lama’ took his analysis back to last Sunday, when Honourabke Kunle Soname’s side defeated visiting Barau FC of Kano 2-0, and reasoned that his players will flow with the spirit of continuity and even improve on it in their next game.

He added, “It was a very good performance by the guys. That makes me believe they are now coming up. The performance was excellent, and I praised them for doing very well.

“Though there’s still room for improvement, and we can do better, I still give kudos to them for what they did in this match.”

Lama went on to admit that the result would have been more than 2-0 for his team had the players converted all chances that came their way, but promised to work on that missing link ahead of their trip to Minna this weekend.

“We could have scored more, but there was some lack of composure in front of goal. That was what really affected us.

“We got a lot of chances to score in the second half, but we couldn’t utilise them. So, we are going to work on that, and I believe we are going to get better in the next match,” Lama assured.

He concluded with words of respect for the team’s new captain, Victor Mbaoma, who the gaffer disclosed has not only been playing the role of a leader but he also inspires the other players with his solid personal performances.

“Victor Mbaoma is a very important player in the team, and he’s the captain. He always plays the role of a captain and a leader. He again showed his leadership capabilities, and that was very important for us,” Lama reiterated.
