Former Bendel Insurance winger Aghama Efe has recorded a major milestone in his European career after scoring his first-ever goal for Cádiz FC in their narrow 2–1 loss to Cultural Leonesa in the Spanish LaLiga 2.
Though the result was disappointing for the club, the night belonged to the young Nigerian, who delivered a bright and energetic performance in the opening half.

Efe struck early in the 12th minute, finishing off a well-worked attacking move with composure and confidence. It was a goal that reflected his technical sharpness, intelligent positioning, and natural attacking instincts.
The winger continued to trouble the opposition throughout the first half, showing flashes of brilliance with successful take-ons, sharp bursts of pace, and clever link-up play in the final third.
His ability to glide past defenders, create space for himself, and stretch Cultural Leonesa’s defensive line highlighted why Cádiz secured his signature. Efe’s presence on the right flank gave the Los Piratas a dynamic edge early in the game, and his contributions were among the most positive aspects of their first-half display.
However, Cádiz made tactical adjustments during the break, resulting in Efe being substituted at the start of the second half. He finished the match with 45 minutes under his belt, but his impact in that short time was enough to leave a strong impression on both fans and the technical crew.
Although the team eventually conceded twice and lost the match, Efe’s landmark goal offers a key takeaway: the young Nigerian is adapting quickly to the demands of Spanish football. His first goal is expected to serve as a confidence booster as he pushes for more playing time and attempts to establish himself as a regular contributor in the squad.
For Aghama Efe, it is only the beginning. His debut goal signals promise, growth, and the bright path that lies ahead in his LaLiga2 journey.
