Nasarawa United returned to the summit of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League table with a comfortable 3-0 victory over El-Kanemi Warriors of Matchday 14 at the Lafia City Stadium on Sunday evening.
The Solid Miners opens the scoring through Anas Yusuf, last season’s top goalscorer from the spot in the 38th minute, as they led 1-0 at half time.

Early in the second half, Anas pounced on a defensive error to strike home Nasarawa United’s second goal, his sixth goal in the current campaign for the Lafia-based side.
The young Nasarawa United’s prodigy, Garba Mohammed added to the tally with a cool finish, his third goal of the season, as the game ended 3-0 in favour of the hosts who moved back to the league table summit.
Nasarawa United will be on the road next weekend as they will be hosted by Warri Wolves in Ozoro, Delta State.
