Borussia Dortmund of Germany midfielder, Karim Adeyemi has admitted he made a big mistake when he recently got himself involved in a case of illegal arms possession, Sports247 reports.
The Nigerian-born German international, who was recently hit with a fine when an unregistered weapon was found in his possession, described the incident as a case of recklessness on his part.

He stated further in a message posted on Instagram that it was not a deliberate act, but an oversight that turned out to be very costly, and appealed for forgiveness from all his fans.
The out of favour BVB star’s apology comes after he was fined €450,000 for the possession of a pair of brass knuckles and a taser earlier this month.
German law prohibits the possession, procurement or use of such weapons and Adeyemi, who admitted he made a big mistake, said he was deeply sorry for his error of judgement.
Adeyemi disclosed, ” At the beginning of 2024, out of carelessness and without really thinking about what I was doing, I ordered a so-called ‘mystery box’ on the internet.
“It contained items that are not permitted under weapons legislation. Many months later, the package was delivered and ended up unopened at the police station.
“Nevertheless, it was a huge mistake. One that I am very sorry about, that cost me dearly, and that I deeply regret.
“I have learned more from this than I can put into words. I promise you that I will avoid such mistakes in the future.”
