Iroegbunam Heads For Everton’s Exit Door In January Transfer Window

Nigerian-born youngster, Tim Iroegbunam could be on his way out of Everton in the January transfer window, as top shots of the English Premier League side are considering offloading him with several other players.

Sports247 gathered that, with Iroegbunam failing to tie down a regular spot in The Toffees’ first team since his arrival from Aston Villa in 2024, Everton’s crew believe he is surplus to requirements.

With that verdict already cast against him, Iroegbunam will most likely leave Goodison Park in January, as the Merseyside outfit clear out their squad, based on a list submitted by the club’s coach, David Moyes.

Iroegbunam arrived at Everton on a £9m deal but the 22-year-old midfielder has not been able to stamp his feet in The Toffees’ mainframe, as he keeps struggling in the same way he did at Villa Park.

A report by Liverpool Echo added: “Moyes is ready to let the midfielder leave after the arrival of Merlin Rohl.

“Everton are open to accepting a lower offer for Iroegbunam and are not worried about taking a loss on the £9m the club originally paid for him.

“Reports have also suggested that Everton may even have to accept a loan exit if interest in the midfielder is low.”
