The message came shortly after Nigeria’s 4–3 penalty shootout defeat to DR Congo in the CAF playoff.
A result that ended the Super Eagles’ hopes of featuring at the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The centre-back’s post has generated over 200 comments and thousands of likes, with many Nigerians praising him for his standout performances across the two-legged playoff.
Fredrick, who shone brilliantly in both matches, is widely regarded by fans as Nigeria’s best performer during the qualifiers. Nigeria had earlier defeated Gabon 4–1 in the first playoff match.
Nigerians flooded the comment section with admiration, recognition, and words of encouragement for the young defender.
@SkillfulEdis hailed his consistency, describing his performance as “absolutely sublime,” and tipped him to become “one of the best defenders in the world” if he maintains his form.
@Xpensive007 praised his genuine effort and technical quality, calling him “the best and most technical player at the heart of the defence.”

@OluwakayodeAyotunde commended his effort throughout the qualifiers and wished him greater success.
A fan under the username Possibilities highlighted his versatility, praising his strong showing as a centre-back against Gabon while questioning the tactical decision to deploy him at full-back against DR Congo.
Another supporter insisted no Super Eagles player should be blamed, saying the responsibility for missing the World Cup lies with football authorities, not the squad.
@KenUttih described Fredrick as a “real starboy” destined for a bright future.
@Susandaves called him a “soon-to-be legend,” applauding his contributions and urging him to keep improving.
