Mohammed Fatai Late Winner Secure A Point For Great Vision In An Eight Goal Thriller Against Gold FC

Great Vision FA prodigy, Mohammed Fatai late brace, secured a point in a dramatic eight goals thriller (4-4) comeback against Gold FC in MatchWeek-2 during Ibro Peckham Football Competition.

It was a thrilling showdown at the Champions Arena- N.U.D playing ground, Olose as Gold FC outclassed their opponents in the first half. The Alaja boys brought their A-game to the pitch, displaying resilience, sharp coordination, and undeniable team spirit that kept the fans on the edge of their seats.

Bolaji Gusto brilliant move earned an early lead in the first 10 minutes before getting a brace four minutes later. Great Vision makes a double tactical substitution that reduces the pressure of poor defence that leads to the two goals.

The spotlight shone brightly with Adewunmi Daniel’s effort, leading to the third goal in the 22nd minute. Great Vision tried to response but the woodwork denied them twice as they trail 3-0 in the first half.

The Alaja boys started the second half, where they paused with a brilliant close range shot that passed the goalkeeper but denied it through the woodwork before Wanda Wisdom header opens the scoring to reduce the deficit for Great Vision in the 46th minute.

Akeem Adebayo pounds on defensive error to make it 3-2 in the 58th minute. Before Salami Ridwan found himself the goalkeeper box to tap in and extend Gold FC lead to 4-2 in the 64th minute.

The dramatic comeback started a minute later with Mohammed Fatai putting a brilliant move, unmarked, slamming in a perfect pass to the net before a tap-in the additional minute after a horrible blunder from Gold FC goalkeeper to slip the ball away from a restart in his box.

With the dramatic comeback draw, Great Vision now gathers 4pts from two games after defeating Integrity FC 2-1 in the opening fixtures.Gold FC remains winless, losing the first match 2-0 to Sunshine FA.
