Lobi Stars Football Club have settled all outstanding debts and fines imposed by the Nigeria Football Federation Players Arbitration Committee, NFF -PSAC amounting to Thirty two million naira paving the way for the lifting of the club’s transfer and registration ban, Sports247 reports.
On February 28, 2025, the NFF Federal Arbitration Committee ruled on a petition filed by former coach Eugene Agagbe, who accused the club of breaching his contract.

The committee found Lobi Stars guilty and ordered the club to pay Agagbe ₦31.5 million in compensation, along with a ₦550,000 fine payable to the NFF.
The club was given 45 days to complete the payments — in not more than three instalments — but failed to comply within the stipulated time.
Following the club’s failure to meet the deadline, the NFF on June 17, 2025, imposed a ban preventing Lobi Stars from registering or transferring players.
The sanction remained in place until the dissolution of the Dr. Nongu-led board.
However, under the new Interim Management Committee (IMC) headed by Mr. Simon Ikya, Lobi Stars have now fully complied with all arbitration directives within two weeks of assuming office.
The payments, including the ₦31.5 million compensation, ₦550,000 fine, and other related debts, have been cleared.
With the arbitration obligations now settled, the NFF has officially lifted the club’s transfer and registration ban.
Lobi Stars can now exercise their full rights to register and transfer players in accordance with league regulations and NFF statutes.
