Nigerian coach Omosehin Tunde was among the guests of honour at FC Gintra’s end-of-season dinner in Lithuania, joining in celebrations after the club’s women’s team lifted the Lithuanian Women’s A Lyga title to cap off a remarkable campaign.
Omosehin, who serves as the youth team coach and assistant within Gintra’s coaching structure, attended the event alongside three Nigerian players — Oluwadamilola Ronke Kuku, Victoria Akara Igbo, and Bunmi David — all of whom played a vital role in the club’s championship-winning season.

The evening marked not only a moment of joy for the team but also a proud one for Nigerian football, as the four compatriots continue to raise the country’s flag in European football.
Since joining FC Gintra earlier this year, Coach Omosehin has been instrumental in nurturing young talent within the club’s academy, helping to develop several players who have since broken into the senior squad. His leadership and tactical understanding have earned him the respect of both players and colleagues.
Speaking at the ceremony, club officials praised the contributions of their Nigerian contingent, describing them as “a blend of passion, professionalism, and pride.”
For Coach Omosehin, the night represented more than just a celebration — it was a reflection of dedication and progress. Having expressed his ambition to one day join the main team’s technical bench, he remains committed to continuing his development within the Gintra system.
With Gintra regularly featuring in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, the Nigerian coach’s dream of one day leading a team on that stage no longer feels far-fetched.
As Lithuania’s most successful women’s football club basks in another title triumph, one thing is clear — Coach Tunde Omosehin and his fellow Nigerians are making their mark in European football.
