According to the official program released by the NPC, participating delegations will arrive between November 26–27, with competition days set for November 28–December 3, and departure on December 4, 2025.
“We are extremely delighted by this recognition. Para Armwrestling is more than just a sport — it is a symbol of strength, courage, and resilience,” Engr. Jackson said. “Having our para-athletes compete on a regional platform for the very first time is not only historic but also an important statement that sports truly belong to everyone.”
The Nigeria Armwrestling Federation reaffirmed its full readiness to collaborate with the National Paralympic Committee of Nigeria and other stakeholders to ensure that Para Armwrestling delivers one of the most exciting and inspirational events of the Games.
Engr. Jackson also announced that preparations are already underway to mobilize and train Nigeria’s Para Armwrestling Team, ensuring they are fully equipped to represent the nation and the continent with pride.
“We commend the leadership of the National Paralympic Committee for their vision and commitment to inclusivity. This milestone will go a long way in motivating persons with disabilities to embrace sports as a tool for empowerment, rehabilitation, and self-expression,” Jackson added.
The West Africa Para Games will feature top para-athletes from across the subregion competing in multiple disciplines, marking a new era of cooperation and visibility for para-sports in Africa.
With this development, Nigeria once again reaffirms its leadership position in sports innovation and inclusivity, setting the pace for other African nations to follow.
