The Falconets continued their impressive form in the competition, maintaining a perfect record after three matches.

Goals from Jenat Akeremkowei (17’), Alaba Olabiyi (24’), and Kareem Ramotalahi (61’) sealed the dominant win against Ghana, ensuring Nigeria’s total control of Group A.

The Falconets have showcased attacking brilliance and defensive solidity throughout the tournament.

They began their campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Benin Republic, followed by an emphatic 3-1 win against Ghana in their first meeting, and then repeated the same scoreline in Sunday’s decisive clash.

The victory over Ghana took Nigeria to nine points from three matches, making it impossible for any team to catch them at the top of the standings.

With this triumph, the Falconets have reclaimed the WAFU Zone B U-20 Women’s title, previously held by Ghana, reinforcing their dominance in women’s football across the West African region.

The Nigerian girls have now scored nine goals and conceded just one, underlining their superiority in all departments.

They will, however, play their final group fixture against Benin Republic on Wednesday, a match that now serves as a mere formality.
