Nottingham Forest of England striker, Taiwo Awoniyi got sweet words from his coach at the English Premier League club, following his battling performance against Leeds United on Sunday.
Sports247 reports that Awoniyi got off the home team’s bench in the 59th minute of play at The City Ground, and his entry marked a decent surge in Forest’s all out assault on the visitors’ defence.

Incidentally, the former Germany-based striker, who is now fondly called ‘Tee’ by his teammates, entered the fray with the scoreline still 1-1, but his inpact changed the tempo in favour of Forest.
However, they had to fight back gamely, after Leeds’ Nigerian-born attacker, Lukas Nmecha put the visitors up in the 13th minute of play and things appeared to be going into turbulence for Forest.
Dramatically, they went 2-1 up just eight minutes after Awoniyi went on, and goal number three came with a few minutes left on the clock.
In recognition of the turnaround the team got upon Awoniyi’s entry, Forest’s coach, Sean Dyche reasoned that the former SV Frankfurt and Hertha Berlin of Germany hitman proved how valuable he can be for the team.
Incidentally, it was their first home victory in the EPL under Dyche, and the gaffer thanked 28-year-old Awoniyi for the role he played in making it happen.
Dyche acknowledged: “Tee was excellent. Tee seemed a little bit lost when we got here, but he knows he’s got a part to play for us. I thought he was excellent.”
