World Cup Play-offs: Super Eagles’ Camp Opens In Morocco On Monday

The Super Eagles’ camp will open on Monday in Rabat, Morocco ahead of the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualification play-offs billed for Thursday, Friday and Sunday in the same city.

Sports247 gathered that a total of 24 players have been invited, with Udinese of Italy goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye among the returnees, while Ola Aina and Kelechi Iheanacho miss out due to injury.

Also absent is Semi Ajayi, who is suspended for one game after accumulating two yellow cards in the 10-match original qualifying campaign, and he is not on the roster to tango Gabon this Thursday.

A media statement by the communications department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) further disclosed that the Eagles will face The Panthers in the first semi-final at 22,000-capacity Complexe Sportif Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan, while Cameroon battle DR Congo the next day at El-Barid Stadium, also in Rabat.

As the big games approach, Eagles’ coach, Eric Sekou Chelle has charged at thr invited players to fly into Morocco directly from their various bases and converge in Rabat on Monday, November 10th.
