The returnee coach of Kano Pillars, Muhammad Babaganaru has disclosed that his focus in training throughout this week has been on goals scoring, as he wants his players to be clinical in their next game, Sports247 reports.
The vastly experienced tactician, who is set for his third game back in charge of the Kano-based squad this Sunday against visiting Bayelsa United of Yenagoa, admitted that converting scoring chances is the biggest problem in his team.

Although Sai Mesa Gida lost their last match away to Enyimba of Aba, and they remain bottom of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) table, Ganaru picked positives from what he referred to as a gallant fight by his players.
He recounted, “First of all, I have to thank God for everything, but this is not what we planned for. We are not happy that we lost, and we did not expect it like that.
“We know that any match against Enyimba, whether home or away, is always difficult, but losing it was not our plan.”
He further pointed out that his plan for the away game in Aba was to get at least a draw, but they will have to go all out at home against Bayelsa United on Sunday in order to score goals that should give them victory.
“We went to Aba with a game plan to get at least a draw. We dominated possession of the match, especially in the second half. Unfortunately, we conceded two cheap goals, and we could not convert many chances that we created.
“If you get your chances and you cannot convert them, the opponent will punish you. That’s what we have to work on before our next game.
“All the same, there was an improvement in the team. It was my second match and, I believe, if we continue playing like this, we will get better. I’m still positive about that.”
On his thoughts for Sunday’s fixture in Kano, Babaganaru submitted: “We’ll keep working on our goals scoring tactics, because we have to score during our matches. We have to improve the players on goal scoring.”
