Nigeria’s top seed, Success Ogunjobi, has advanced to the final of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J30 tournament taking place at the Lagos Country Club, Ikeja.
Ogunjobi produced a dominant performance to dispatch Zimbabwe’s Rutendo Tom 6-1, 6-2 in Friday’s semifinal clash.

The home favourite controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing confidence, power, and composure to secure a straight-sets victory.
The Nigerian teenager will now look to cap off an impressive week by clinching the title on home soil when she plays in Saturday’s final.
In other semifinal results, Ohunene Yakubu defeated fellow Nigerian Khadijat Mohammed 6-1, 6-3 to also advance to the final, while in the boys’ category, Benjamin James battled from a set down to overcome USA’s David Beckles 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. Spain’s Javier Montes booked his place in the boys’ final after defeating Nigeria’s Edwards Omozokpia 6-2, 7-5.
Speaking after her win, Ogunjobi said she remains focused on delivering her best performance in the final.
The week-long tournament, organised by the Tiger Tennis Foundation founded by Paul Moses, has continued to thrill fans with exciting matches and top-quality junior tennis action. The event provides a vital platform for emerging players to earn ranking points and gain valuable international experience.
The finals are scheduled for Saturday, promising another day of thrilling encounters as young stars battle for honours in Lagos.
