Kola Olojede, a football enthusiast popularly known as K1 in the Ifo community, Ifo local government in Ogun state kicks off the 8th edition of Ibro Peckham Annual football competition, representing the host.
Ajax Sporting Club, Obada defeated Sugar FC, Ilepa 3-1 in the opening match with a 2-1 comeback win of Ultimate Bombers of Abeokuta against Bocca FC at the champions arena, NUD Playing Ground Olose.

During an interview with Sports247 reporter, he further appreciates the sponsors of the largest and longest grassroots football tournament in the area, Raheem Williams fondly called as “Ibro-Peckham” with his strong effort in engaging the youth to snub any social vices in the society.
He then recognised the grassroots competition as a unifying factor, bringing the masses of different in diverse backgrounds together.

“It is a wake up call for other individuals to step in the path that “Raheem” is currently heading to. Since 2018, he has been such a great individual”.
“Youth should keep on engaging in sporting activities, football is a channel that eradicates societal vices. Others privileged need to be keen to do this for a safe, clean and peaceful society” he added.
Furthermore, he advised the Ogun State Football Council and the Nigeria Football Federation to invest deeply in the grassroots system to reshape the grassroots sports architecture that paves way in the past for a better future.
