Toheeb quickly caught the attention of the club’s technical crew with his speed, composure on the ball, attacking intent and ability to deliver precise crosses from the left flank.
Club sources described his performance during the trials as “outstanding,” with coaches particularly impressed by his work rate and tactical awareness. His combination of athleticism and technical skill makes him a valuable addition to a Kebbi United side aiming to strengthen its defensive options ahead of the new NNL season.
For Toheeb, the move is the culmination of persistence, discipline and belief. Having honed his craft in the competitive Lagos grassroots football scene, he now steps into the national spotlight, ready to prove himself at a higher level.
The young full-back expressed his delight at signing for Kebbi United, saying he is eager to contribute to the team’s success and repay the trust placed in him by the management.
Kebbi United officials have also spoken highly of the signing, noting that Toheeb embodies the kind of hunger and determination the club wants in its ranks as it pushes for promotion.
With the deal now complete, Gafari Toheeb begins a new chapter in his football journey — one defined by hard work, opportunity, and the promise of bigger things to come in Nigerian football.
