Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie was a notable absentee as Morocco made history on the global stage with Achraf Hakimi and Ghizlane Chebbak both named in the 2025 FIFA FIFPRO World 11, announced on Monday.
The inclusion of the duo marked the first time two Moroccan players have featured in the men’s and women’s teams in the same year.

The prestigious FIFPRO Men’s and Women’s World 11 teams — voted exclusively by professional footballers were announced on November 3, 2025, following ballots from more than 26,000 players across 68 countries.
Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi was named in the Men’s World 11 as a defender, reaffirming his world-class status.
Having first made the team in 2022, the Moroccan international remains one of the most consistent performers at both club and international level.
In the women’s category, Ghizlane Chebbak, captain of Morocco’s Atlas Lionesses, earned her debut selection in the Women’s World 11 as a midfielder.
Her inclusion also makes her the first Moroccan woman ever to achieve the honor, underlining the nation’s rapid rise in global women’s football.
Nigeria’s goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, who had been tipped for a place following an outstanding season in France, was notably absent from the final list.
This year’s FIFPRO World 11 features 10 debutants, highlighting a new wave of footballing talent as over 6,000 women’s footballers voted for the women’s team.
England emerging as the most represented nation as six Lionesses were named, including newcomers Hannah Hampton and Chloe Kelly.
Defender Lucy Bronze also made history with a record eighth selection, surpassing France’s Wendie Renard (seven appearances).
For Africa, it was a landmark edition: Barbra Banda (Zambia) earned her second inclusion, joining Chebbak to make it the first time two African women were named in the same World 11.
