Rivers United of Port Harcourt coach, Finidi George is thinking big ahead of his team’s clash with Black Bulls FC of Mozambique in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round and declared that they will go all out for victory, Sports247 reports.
The Garden City side will first play away in Maputo next Saturday, October 18th, but Finidi is already thinking of a victorious outing for his team, who are aiming to reach the group stage of Africa’s elite clubs’ money spinning competition.

While keeping his mind on Sunday’s home fixture versus Bayelsa United of Yenagoa in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL), the former Super Eagles’ winger assured that his Port Harcourt-based side will quickly turn their focus on the CCL outing after their domestic tie.
He also recalled how tough his team found Les Aigles of Democratic Republic of Congo in the first round, as a single goal from the second leg sent his team into the next stage ahead of their hard fighting opponents.
Finidi admitted he was relieved and happy with the 1-0 win that made a world of difference in Uyo and acknowledged that Rivers United will have to do much better during their upcoming tie in Maputo, so that they would make the reverse fixture easier on October 26th.
“We were quite happy with the victory, because it was not an easy one. Any day, any time, we will relish that 1-0 victory. So, we are quite happy.
“We have scaled through the first round, and we’re looking forward to our next opponent. That’s the most important thing for now,” Finito affirmed.
