Dar es Salaam – The stage is set for an exciting Community Shield final as Simba Queens and JKT Queens clash on October 13 following their hard-fought victories in the semi-final matches.
Simba Queens booked their place in the final after defeating Mashujaa Queens 2-1 in the first semi-final, while JKT Queens advanced after a dramatic 5-4 penalty shootout win over Young Princess following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

Meanwhile, Yanga Princess and Mashujaa Queens will compete earlier on the same day to determine the third-place winner.
The final between Simba Queens and JKT Queens promises to be a thrilling encounter, fueled by the intense rivalry between the two teams dating back to last season. JKT Queens currently hold the title of Serengeti Lite League champions, while Simba Queens finished close behind in second place, just two points adrift.
In their previous league meetings last season, JKT Queens claimed four points from Simba, winning the first-round fixture and holding their rivals to a draw in the return leg.
Simba will go into the final determined to reclaim the Community Shield, which they last won two seasons ago. On the other hand, JKT Queens will be aiming to defend the title for the second consecutive year, having lifted the Shield last season after defeating Young Princess 1-0 in the final.
With both teams in top form and pride on the line, football fans can expect an electrifying contest at the KMC Stadium as two of Tanzania’s finest women’s football clubs battle for early-season glory.
