Dar es Salaam – Simba SC head coach, Dimitar Pentev, has expressed confidence in his squad’s potential but emphasized that the team will need three to four weeks to start playing the brand of fantastic football he envisions.
The Bulgarian tactician, who recently took charge of the Tanzanian giants, explained that the limited training time and busy match schedule have made it difficult to fully implement his playing philosophy.

“I have identified great talents here, but having talented players is one thing and playing good football is another,” said Pentev. “I want Simba to do both together, and that takes time. That’s why I’ve asked for at least three weeks.”

Pentev, who officially began work with the club four days ago, praised the warm welcome he has received from the club’s management, coaching staff, players, and assistants, including Seleman Matola
“I feel very happy with the love and cooperation I’ve received from the leaders, my assistants, the players, and all staff,” he said.
The new coach added that he is optimistic about the future, expressing his belief that Simba SC will soon find its rhythm and deliver performances that will bring joy to the fans and management alike.
“From the beginning, I believe nothing will go wrong. We are going to do great things and give joy to our supporters,” Pentev concluded.
With high expectations surrounding his tenure, Pentev’s focus remains on building a cohesive and dynamic side capable of restoring Simba SC’s dominance both domestically and in continental competitions.
