Coach Bankole Olowookere admitted that preparations have been challenging—both logistically and in talent identification—but expressed confidence in the team’s ability to deliver. He emphasised that the federation expects a performance that will instill national pride, beginning with their opening match against Canada on October 19.
He also affirmed that the selection process is not just about technical ability, but about representation, character, and potential—seeking to build a squad that offers both competitiveness and national inclusivity.
